Ellie Tamara Baros
Ellie had her first taste of blood at the age of 17 when her father, a moderately successful armor smith, was killed in his storefront by a midnight burglar. El, who often helped her father with his work, walked in on the gruesome scene too late. When the attacker turned on her, she had nothing to defend herself but a shield, which she managed to hastily snatch off of its display. Unluckily for the burglar, Ellie’s work in her father’s forge had made her much stronger than she appeared at first glance and after a short scuffle she managed to bash the man’s head in. But one man’s life was not enough to sate her desire for vengeance. Ellie began to track down members of the burglar’s guild of thieves, and brutally murder them one by one. To protect herself from the law, she wore a helmet that hid her face, armor that was fitted for a man, and never spoke during her killings. The more she killed, the more she found herself enjoying it and she began to target all manner of criminals, convinced it was for a just cause. As her alter ego became better known, even the pettiest of criminals began to fear “the silent slayer”. But her fame also attracted unwanted attention, and eventually the law caught up with her. Charged with dozens of murders, she was faced with the choice between life in the dungeons, and the deepguard, she chose the latter so that she may die as she lived, protecting Laushurno, and now all of Daern.
