Arian is typically depicted as a handsome young man with an easy smile. He is often shown with sailing implements, with a pouch full of coin, or handing out coins. Arian is primarily a god of trade, wealth, and community. Arian is the older brother of Twyllo.
Worshipers and Clergy:
Arian is widely revered throughout the Shattered Ocean. Some in the Riverlands also revere him. Traders and sailors are his most common followers. Prayers to Arian often ask for trade prospects to go well and for ships to have safe journeys. There is no official structure to this religion, so there is no official clergy devoted to Arian.
Temples and Shrines:
Ships sailing the Shattered Ocean sometimes have small shrines devoted to Arian. Merchants also sometimes keep shrines in their shops. In the richer cities in the Shattered Ocean, homeless shelters are sometimes built by merchants that follow Arian. These shelters provide food and beds for those who are down on their luck. The shelters could be loosely termed as temples of Arian.
Religious Texts and Philosophy:
There are no religious texts of Arian. The philosophy of his followers is that increasing one’s wealth is good and provides for a better life for one’s family, but one must not forget the community that raised you. One should give back to the community whenever possible.
